Ingredients
Thai jasmine rice / Jeera sambha rice – 1 cup
Water – 1 1/2 cups
Oil – 1 1/2 tbsp
Garlic – 2 tsp minced
Onion – 1 chopped
Green beans – 1/2 cup chopped
Carrot – 1/2 cup chopped
Cabbage – 1 cup chopped
Prawns – 12 cleaned and devained
Eggs – 2 beaten
Soy sauce – 1 tbsp
Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt – to taste
Sugar – 1/4 tsp
Aginomotto – 1/8 tsp
Method
Cook the rice along with water in a rice cooker. Allow it to cool. Heat oil in a non-stick wok and add garlic followed by onions, beans and carrots. Stir-fry for 2 minutes and then add the cabbage and prawns. Cook for another 2 minutes more. Keep the veggies and prawns to a side and add the eggs. Stir-fry the eggs and mix all together. Now add the cooked rice, soy sauce, pepper powder, salt, sugar and aginomotto. Stir-fry on a high heat for 2 minutes. Serve yummy ‘Prawn Fried Rice’ with Thai sweet chilli sauce or any side dish of your choice. Enjoy with your kids!
