 Method

Remove most of the green skin of the banana, wash and cut it lengthwise and slice.  Keep them in water.  Heat oil in a pressure cooker.   Add the whole spices followed by ginger, garlic, onions, green chillies and curry leaves.  Fry till the onions turn light brown.  Add the tomatoes and fry for a minute.  Now add the spice powders and fry till the aroma comes out.  Add the beef, salt and water.  Mix well and pressure cook 5 minutes lesser than the usual time for the beef to be cooked.  Allow it to cool.   Add the banana pieces, pepper powder, garam masala and aniseed powder to the beef curry.  Pressure cook for another 5 minutes.  Lip-smacking ‘Beef and Kaya (Raw Banana) Curry’ is now ready to be served.  Enjoy!
