Chilli Mushroom

Ingredients

Mushroom – 200 gm quartered

All purpose flour / Maida – 2 tbsp

Corn flour – 2 tbsp

Pepper powder – 1/8 tsp

Sugar – 1/4 tsp

Aginomotto / MSG – 1/8 tsp

Salt – 1/4 tsp

Oil – for frying

For the Sauce

Oil – 1 tbsp

Garlic – 2 big minced

Ginger – 1 tsp minced

Onion – 1 small cubed

Capsicum – 1 cubed

Green chillies – 2 sliced

Red chilli paste – 1 tsp

Dark soy sauce – 2 tbsp

Water – 2 tbsp

Salt – 1/4 tsp

Sugar – 1/4 tsp

Pepper powder – 1/8 tsp

Aginomotto / MSG – 1/8 tsp

Spring onions – 2 tbsp chopped

 Method

Make a batter with all purpose flour and all other ingredients.  Mix the mushrooms with this batter and deep fry in hot oil.  Keep them aside.  Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add ginger and garlic followed by onions, capsicum and green chillies.  When the onions turn pink, add chilli paste, soy sauce, water, salt, sugar, pepper powder and agino motto.  When it boils, add the fried mushrooms and stir-fry.  Garnish with spring onions and serve hot.  Delicious ‘Chilli Mushroom’ can be served as a starter, snack or as a side dish with fried rice, noodles, pulao or parathas.  Enjoy!
