Fish And Chips (Without Beer)



Fish fillets – 500 gm

Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp

Salt – 1/2 tsp

Oil – for frying

French fries – as required

Tartar sauce – 1/2 cup

For The Batter

All purpose flour / Maida – 3/4 cup

Corn flour – 1 1/2 tbsp

Chilly powder – 1/2 tsp

Baking soda – 1/4 tsp

Salt – to taste

Water – as required



Marinate the fish fillets with salt and pepper for 15 minutes.  Make a thick batter with the above mentioned ingredients.  Dip each fish fillet in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown in color.  Make sure to fry it on a medium flame.  Deep fry the french fries till golden brown.  Serve yummy ‘Fish And Chips’ along with french fries and tartar sauce.  Enjoy with your loved ones!
