Ingredients
Chicken – 500 gm cut into pieces
Salt – to taste
Oil – 2 tbsp or more
For Grinding
Onion – 2 chopped
Green chillies – 4
Khus khus / Poppy seeds – 1/2 tsp
Peppercorns – 1/2 tsp
Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Ginger-garlic paste – 2 tsp
Coriander leaves – 2tbsp chopped
Vinegar – 1 tbsp
Method
Grind the above mentioned ingredients to a fine paste. Marinate the chicken pieces with the paste and salt, for 4 hrs or overnight. Heat oil in a non-stick pan and brown the chicken pieces on both sides. Add the leftover marinade and cook covered for 10 minutes. Open the lid and simmer till the gravy is very thick and oil separates. Lip-smacking ‘Chicken Cafreal’ can be served with rice, pulao, chapathi, bread, porotta or dosa. Enjoy!
