Ingredients
Bread slices – 5 cut into two lengthwise
Gram flour – 1 cup
Rice flour – 1/4 cup
Asafoetida / Kayam – 1/8 tsp
Chilly powder – 1/2 tsp
Baking soda – 1/8 tsp
Salt – to taste
Water – as required
Oil – for frying
Method
In a bowl, mix all the ingredients together and make a thick batter using water. Dip each bread piece in the batter and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown. Serve crispy outside, soft inside ‘Bread Bajji / Bread Pakora’ with tea or coffee. Enjoy with your kids!
You can use sweet bread, milk bread, sandwich bread or brown bread for making bajji.
