Mushroom Pepper Fry

Ingredients

Button mushroom – 200 gm sliced

Oil – 1 1/2 tbsp

Garlic – 1 tsp crushed

Ginger – 1 tsp crushed

Onions – 2 medium chopped

Green chilly – 1 slit

Curry leaves – 1 sprig

Crushed pepper – 1 1/2 tsp

Cumin powder – 1 tsp

Garam masala – 1/4 tsp

Salt – to taste

Method

Heat oil in a non-stick pan and add garlic and ginger followed by onions, green chilly and curry leaves.  Fry till the onions turn light brown.  Add mushrooms and salt, and cook covered till done.  Open the lid and add the spice powders.  Stir-fry for a few minutes.  Delicious ‘Mushroom Pepper Fry’ is now ready.  Serve it as a side dish for rice, chappathi or phulka.  Enjoy!
