Method

Heat oil in a pressure cooker and fry ginger and garlic.  Add onions, green chillies and curry leaves.  Fry till the onions turn golden brown.  Add the tomatoes and fry for a minute.  Add the spice powders and stir till the aroma comes out.  Now add the beef cubes, water and salt.  Pressure cook till almost done.  Allow it to cool.  Open the lid and add papaya, aniseed powder, garam masala and lime juice.  Mix well and pressure cook for another 5 minutes on a low flame, after the first whistle.  Delicious ‘Green Papaya And  Beef Curry’ is now ready.  Serve it as a side dish along with rice, chapathi, phulka, puttu, appam, idiyappam, idli, dosa or bread.  Enjoy!
